Kristina ReuberGolden Apple Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Kristina Reuber as executive director. Reuber comes to Golden Apple from La Voz Latina: Latino Community Resource Center, where she previously served as Youth Programs Director.

In her new position with Golden Apple Foundation, Reuber will assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the non-profit organization and its many fundraising initiatives. This includes the signature Golden Apple Award Program, which recognizes teachers from 13 public school districts and 40 non-public schools in Winnebago and Boone counties.

“We were looking for someone who could inspire stakeholders, strengthen our volunteer base as well as enhance recognition and support for Golden Apple Foundation,” said Board President Tom Lasley. “We believe Kristina is the right person to build on the positive momentum and success we’ve had the past 10 years with Lori Berkes-Nelson. I am excited to have Kristina join our organization and look forward to working with her.”

Reuber graduated from Loyola University with a B.A. in Political Science and Economics and an Environmental Action and Leadership minor.  She serves on the Alignment Rockford High School Redesign subcommittee, and is a member of Ignite and Jr. League of Rockford.  She can be reached at 815-226-4180 or This email address is being protected from spambots.
