GOLDEN APPLE BANQUET

Golden Apple Foundation will be celebrating Excellence in Education at the 14th Annual Golden Apple Banquet on Friday, April 30, 2010. The festivities begin with a “red carpet arrival: at 5:00 p.m. at the beautiful Radisson Hotel, 200 S. Bell School Rd., reception at 5:30 p.m. adinner and awards presentations at 6:30 and an Appletini Afterparty at 8:00 p.m. with music and dancing. 

Former and current students of the 2010 Golden Apple Teachers will be in attendance at the red carpet arrival to greet and support their favorite Golden Apple Teacher. 
 
Banquet attendees will witness the presentation of the prestigious Golden Apple Award to the following five 2010 Golden Apple teachers from Winnebago and Boone County:
  • Cindy Adami, Brookview Elementary School-Rockford-2nd Grade
  • Shannon Anderson, Prairie Hill Elementary School-South Beloit-Kindergarten
  • Erikka Coletta , Ledgewood Elementary School-Roscoe-3rd Grade
  • Amy Conklin, Windsor Elementary School-Loves Park-2nd Grade
  • Patty Crow, Maria Montessori School-Rockford-Pre-K-K
 
Over 350 Golden Apple Foundation sponsors, volunteers, board members, community and business members will  join the Golden Apple teachers, their friends, family, colleagues and administrators in celebrating excellence in education. During the evening, the teachers will present individual speeches, receive additional awards and will be recognized for their exceptional work in their schools. 
In addition, the 5th Annual Puri Family Outstanding Principal Award will be presented to Mrs. Susan Haney-Bauer, Principal of Maria Montessori School in Rockford. The Golden Apple Education Service Award will also be presented to Heartland Community Church's Sharefest for their impact on the educational community.
