Welcome To Golden Apple Foundation
We are a volunteer-driven organization that inspires, celebrates and supports educational excellence in our community. Since 1997, the Golden Apple Foundation has grown from honoring teachers in one school district to honoring teachers, principals and volunteers in more than 150 schools, both public and non-public, in Winnebago and Boone counties.
The Foundation operates entirely on the generous financial support of community businesses and individuals, as well as the more than 400 volunteers who donate their time and energy to make our programs successful.

There will be featured food or drink specials benefiting Golden Apple, as well as special tip jars. Cash tips are encouraged. And no one will be above wearing a dunce cap if you offer an appropriate tip!

Garden Explorers at Anderson Japanese Gardens! Join Golden Apple Teachers as your children and grandchildren listen to a story read by Rockford Mayor Thomas McNamara then participate in educational crafts and games.

We’re the Nonprofit of the Night at the Rockford Rivets game! Game time is 6:35 p.m. against the Traverse City Pit Spitters. Get there early to see one of our teachers throw out the ceremonial first pitch!
