2026 Golden Apple Don Zimmerman scholarship recipient named

Abigail Hopkins of Caledonia, who teaches 3rd Grade at Poplar Grove’s Manchester Elementary was awarded the 2026 Golden Apple Don Zimmerman scholarship to earn her first master's degree tuition-paid at Rockford University.

We had more than 380 guests at our banquet April 24, celebrating the 20 teacher award finalists (including 6 recipients), grant recipients, the Jan Jones Service Award recipient and the 2026 Golden Apple Outstanding Principal.
