| Golden Apple Foundation of Rockford is embarking on a new challenge this summer: enlisting four area school districts to compete in fundraising at four different venues, all on one night. In the past, guest bartender nights included competition between two districts at one location over a few different evenings. This year, each district will enjoy “home turf” benefits. The challenge will be spurred on by lively commentary and results via Facebook Live throughout the night. Each group of administrators and teachers will bartend from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 17. There will be featured food or drink specials benefiting Golden Apple, as well as special tip jars. Cash tips are encouraged. And no one will be above wearing a dunce cap if you offer an appropriate tip!
