Golden Apple Foundation Receives Crusader Health’s 2024 Spirit of Caring Award
On Friday, Oct. 11, Golden Apple Foundation staff Jennifer Stark and Kathi Edwards; board chair-elect, Gordon Eggers; grant recipient Meghan Hembrough; and scholarship recipient Brooke Harp attended Crusader Community Health Foundation’s 2024 Spirit of Caring Awards at Tebala Event Center. The people in this packed banquet room participated in a 50/50 raffle, Top Hats and Coat Tails (Heads or Tails), Wine/Tequila Pull, Centerpiece Sale, photo booth antics and costume and Masked Singer competitions as CCHF Director Eric Wilson emceed. Many attendees dressed in costume for the Movies theme. We enjoyed dinner catered by Greenfire. We had been named a finalist for this year’s award along with the YMCA of Rock River Valley and the Rock River Valley Blood Center. A few quotes from letters of support were read and we knew … we were thisĀ year’s recipient! Executive Director Jennifer Stark took to the stage to receive the award, said a few eloquent words about the organization and offered thanks for this honor. We are thrilled to be amongst the other amazing community organizations and to be recognized for all we do. We definitely care about our volunteers, our area teachers, schools and students! Thank you, Crusader!
