Grant Timeline Changed for 2025-2026

Golden Apple has listened to teachers’ feedback and is changing things up in the classroom grants program this fall. We want to disburse funds earlier in the school year so you can implement the money for your classes earlier. This means that the submission deadline will be earlier. The application period will open July 1. Grant applications will be due Sept. 10. Applicants will be notified of their status in early October. Grant checks will be presented at a reception at Anderson Japanese Gardens in mid-October.

Grants are awarded for early education, special education, mental health, literacy, arts and STEM needs for teachers in Boone and Winnebago counties. Grant applications for both simple and large grants are available here. Be concise, but be specific and be sure to answer each question completely. The deadline for submitting a follow up report and photos will remain June 1.
