2025 Board of Directors News
| The board of directors of the Golden Apple Foundation of Rockford (goldenappleofrockford.com) voted in these new members in 2025: RuthAnn Bates of Ivy House Creative Cafe; Heather Kelley of Rock Valley College; Casey Lester of Field Fastener; Millard Washington of Crusader Health and Haiwei Yuan of Hard Rock Casino Rockford. Paul VonDriska replaces David Rydell of Bergstrom. MaryAnn Norwood and Andy Fisk have left the board. Norwood was celebrated for having served on the board for 18 years. Gabriela Nunez-Reagan, a Golden Apple teacher (Class of 2018) now teaching at Meehan Elementary in Belvidere, replaces Tiffany Aurand as a Teacher Academy representative to the board. Gordon Eggers Jr. stepped into the board chair position in late 2024; Frank Walters is the past board chair. Earl Wilsey is the vice-chair/chair-elect. We are grateful to have these individuals step up to join this working board to support area educators and schools.
