Wine Tasters Raise $1,400

On Friday, Sept. 6, Rockford’s Artale Wine Co. hosted the First Friday Wine Tasting event benefiting Golden Apple.

Guests sampled dozens of wines from various countries and with various price points for a nominal entry fee, learning as they went to each station. 100% of that fee was donated to Golden Apple Foundation to support our mission to recognize teachers and empower them with classroom resources to improve educational outcomes in our community.

Thank you to Artale, to board members and Teacher Academy members who volunteered at the door, and to all who attended — from staff and board members, to Teacher Academy members, local teachers and community members — for helping raise $1,400 for us! What a fun evening to get out, enjoy some wine and support excellence in local education!
