All six of the Class of 2023 Golden Apple teachers plus many other Golden Apple Teacher Academy members joined forces to provide live illustration to storytime for children at the annual Garden Explorers program at Anderson Gardens Aug. 3. After Maureen Kirschmann of Rockford Public School District 205 read stories, children were able to visit 10 different stations for STEM activities, yoga, word games and movement activities led by our enthusiastic teachers. More than 100 children got to have fun while learning, then tour the gardens. Thank you, Anderson Gardens, for the opportunity, and to our teachers for all they do to promote excellence in education in our community!
